Our well known facilities management client recently commissioned MNA to design and install an outdoor learning classroom for The Samuel Laycock School in Greater Manchester.
To promote full inclusion among pupils, the exterior classroom was created with a pitched roof , windows, and a wheelchair-accessible ramp.
The bespoke classroom was designed to allow students with additional educational needs and disabilities to learn in an alternative environment.
Our client believed that through teaching and learning in an alternate environment, the pupils would benefit from increased personal development and greater well-being.
From the digging and forming of foundations to the installation of the roof and access ramp, the custom build took a week to complete.
Both the client and school were thrilled with the completed project and seek to use it whenever possible.
