Our client, The HACS Group approached MNA Cladding to upgrade the roof framework of the steel portal frame at Harrogate Tennis Centre.
The project called for the installation of TATA steel standing seam roof sheets, which have an extended lifespan and require minimal maintenance.
The steel purlins of the structure were taped in order to prevent chemical reactions between the purlin and standing seam sheet, and the TATA roof was installed using a crash deck system for operatives’ safety.
Following the installation of the sheets, the roof was completed with a central flashing to further weatherproof the structure, and all fittings were sealed to maintain their integrity. With team meetings and the supply of risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase plans, the MNA in-house health and safety division ensured that the project was fully compliant.
